Champagne Party (blue)

A cool lounge scene with sexy people in silhouette style, enjoying their drinks and chit chatting.

The sketch is long lost, can't even remember in which hard drive or cdr I kept it.

I'm planning to do another scene with similar style in pink-red-violet colour scheme, and will post it for sale at istockphoto.com too!

Shopping Girl 01 & Sketch

One of my early illustrations submitted to istockphoto.com. To me, it is always good to start with some sketches to lay the ideas on paper, because by doing so, it really speeds up the process.

Guess what? I like pencil more than mouse! Sometimes when I don't start with sketches, I could have starring at the monitor and blank artboard, messing around with the software, tools, and come up with nothing :p

Maybe it's just my preference, what about you?

Green Car in the City

This piece of work is done without any sketch, I just started Adobe Illustrator, opened a new blank art board, and simply drew a leaf design with pen tool. I was like "hmm... can this be a car design?", then I started to think that this could be my hybrid concept car, haha!

After playing around with the shapes and ideas, I continued with the car design, putting in a cheerful driver, cute exhaust fumes, and the city background. Luckily, this design won Zazzle's 'Today's Best' on 12th August 2008!

You can purchase the vector file from iStockphoto.com at 25 credits, or you can get the prints and related products from my Zazzle store.

So start Driving a Green Car today!

First Royalty Free Artwork @ iStockphoto.com

This is my very first artwork uploaded for sale at iStockphoto.com. It was my 27th birthday as I started this, how meaningful huh?

I was inpired by the Aesop Fable The Fox and the Grapes, and I actually wanted to name it 'Sour Grapes', hehe.

As usual, I started it with sketches on waste paper to try a few different styles, and guess what, my wife contributed her ideas to finalize the fox sketch.

You may purchase this artwork by clicking on the picture, and here are the info:
- File type: Vector Illustration (EPS8)
- Size: 2.98MB
- Credits: 15 (Standard License)

Hello there, welcome to my blog!

I've deleted the old posts and decided to "restart" blogging mainly about my work (design, illustrations, etc), my thoughts, and all the things that interest me, such as music, movies, and freash ideas out there!

I will also try to post some design tutorials by using Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools, so stay tuned!

p/s Please bear with me as I'm experimenting with the page layouts at the moment, so there will always be changes until I'm happy with it. Cheers!
